Dr. Andrew Simonsen

Pediatric Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery

Dr. Simonsen is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist and Head and Neck Surgeon who practices at both Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Center ONE in Jacksonville. Among the many aspects of his practice, pediatric voice and hearing are of special interest.

Originally from Southern Oregon, Dr. Simonsen attended the University of Hawaii as a NCAA Division 1 swimmer and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. He went on to medical school at Western University, residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine. He left Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston to join the medical community in Jacksonville in 2012. He and his wife, Sarah, and four children are happy to call Jacksonville home.

Dr. Simonsen has a heart for the children of Jacksonville and enjoys supporting many local organizations including the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, the Promise to Kate Foundation, and the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center. He is also a proud member of the Rotary Club of South Jacksonville, championing causes locally and internationally.

It was Dr. Simonsen’s interest in children’s vocal health that made it a natural decision to join Jacksonville’s Dancing with the Stars this year and support the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus. According to Dr. Simonsen one thing is for sure, it was not his dancing experience!
