John has been a Financial Advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families for over 19 years (since 2000) and works with many business owners on important planning issues and risks which include; succession planning, selling a business, investing liquidity, tax efficiency strategies, estate planning & asset protection strategies, retirement income solutions and other various objectives. He has been selected as a “Premier Advisor” by Wells Fargo Advisors since 2011.

In 2008, John attained the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) Certification, administered by the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with the oversight of the Investments & Wealth Institute. This includes; Investment policy, asset allocation, risk management, tax efficiency, alternative investments, international financial markets, measuring returns on portfolios and due diligence of professional investment managers. 

In 2013, John earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) Certification, administered by the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and the Investments & Wealth Institute. This includes; Tax planning, estate planning, asset protection planning, transaction planning, planning for business owners & executives, private equity, and multi-generation wealth education. Among other community service activities, John Served on the City of Jacksonville Retirement (Pension) Reform Special Task Force in 2013-2014, and as co-chairman of the Transition Team Pension Committee for the Mayor of Jacksonville in 2011. John’s involvement in addressing the city’s pension liability crossed party lines and spanned over 4 years and 3 different committees. In 2011, he authored the transition report for the Mayor outlining the challenges caused by the city’s pension liabilities and a balanced list of solutions for consideration.

John is a graduate of the University of Florida, a native of Jacksonville, and is a graduate of Darlington School (a boarding student in High School). He met his wife (Renee, also a native) downtown at the YMCA on an elliptical machine after work in 2003 and they married in 2005. The focus of their lives together are their 3 kids; Foster (11), Luci (8) and Josie (5) and 2 dogs (Buddy a Westie and Teddy a Goldendoodle). In his free time, John concedes to Renee as much as possible, tries to keep his kids off of screens and outside whenever he is not on a screen, going to a movie with the kids, reading, rooting for the Gators or cheering for the hopeless Jaguars. He owned a Jet-Ski for a year and has a golf membership he doesn’t use.
