Otterson Allison Wealth Management Group of Raymond James

Patty Otterson is the Senior Vice President of Investments for Otterson Allison Wealth Management Group of Raymond James.  She has a passion for helping clients achieve their financial and investment goals and for the last 35 years she has worked diligently to guide clients through complex markets and investment decisions.  Before she started her career in the investment field she was a CPA for a large national accounting firm.  After a couple of years in public accounting and completing the CPA exam her desire to help people navigate their financial future motivated her to change careers to be an Investment Advisor.  The intrigue of the financial markets inspired her to add to her professional development and in 2000 she attended Wharton Business School to complete her Certified Investment Management designation.

Over the years Patty has stayed involved in a number of community activities.  She served as a board member for many years for a ministry serving inner city children called Metro Kids Konnection.  She worked with St Vincent’s Foundation and their outreach to the community, all while serving as both a Deacon and Elder in her church.

When she is not working or serving her community and church, you will often see her sailing on the St Johns River with her husband, John.  They are both avid sailors.  She also loves music, spending many years singing in her church choir and her new love is to dance ballroom and country. When asked, Patty will tell you her favorite role was being a mother to a beautiful daughter who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served our country for six years.  Her son in law, also a Naval Academy Graduate, is now a partner in Patty’s business.

Patty is so honored to be a supporter of the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus for a number of years and now revels in the opportunity to be a part of the Jacksonville's Dancing with the Stars competition.  “To see the children perform you begin to understand the amount of preparation and discipline they have undergone”, she says, “The values and dedication they learn while participating in The Chorus are values that will serve them well for the rest of their lives!  I am so proud to be a part of this!”
