Kacie Main

Kacie Main was born and raised in Jacksonville and enjoyed a successful career in the corporate world – from public relations and health care sales to human resources and operations – before leaving it behind to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time writer. She released her debut book – I Gave Up Men for Lent, the story of a jaded, hopelessly romantic, health-conscious party girl’s search for meaning – in 2019.

She is currently a freelance writer contributing to popular sites such as POPSUGAR and Thought Catalog. She is also the creator and host of The Better You Podcast, a podcast dedicated to helping listeners better understand their relationship with themselves. She holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communications from Florida State University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Kacie has been a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida for four years, starting with her Little in 6th grade as part of United Way of Northeast Florida’s Achievers for Life program, and continuing on with her into high school. She is a member of United Way’s Stein Fellowship class of 2017 and regularly volunteers with the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center (See the Girl) Girl Matters: In the Community program.
